I think that there are other books that are better guides to decorating. Mary Gilliat herself put together a better book than this one called Mary Gilliat's Interior Design Course. Pluses:
There are some good descriptions of paint techniques and window treatments. Minuses:
False advertising-The photos are outdated. Recommendation:
Buy her other book or another decorating guide. Better Sources:
