Do you like vampire books where the vampires are not the good guys? if you enjoy the good old-fashioned, hunt-em down and kill that evil thing type of horror story, then NightBlood is for you.
T.Chris Martindale created a wild ride with this novel. He's not a household name like the Stephen Kings or the Dean Koontzs of the world and sometimes it shows in the rawness of his writing style. But the bottom line is NightBlood was fun to read.
The characters in this book were believable. The dialogue was clever and funny. The action scenes were incredible. It does make you wonder why some books are pushed by their publishers and other's are not. This one should have been. It should be far better known than it is.
NightBlood was published in 1990 by Warner Books, so it's out of print and you'll have to find it at a used book store.
NightBlood by T.Chris Martindale is definitely worth searching for.

I've only read one other book by Martindale, "Where the Chill Waits." It was so good that I bought this one and I sure was not disappointed. A great blend of action, atmospheric horror, and interesting characters. I've bought the only other two books by Martindale that I can find.
Great mixture of lost boys/Steven King

I thought this book was extremely good. The author has this cutting edge steven king style of writing. A "Lost Boys" premise with a evil Vampire replacing the werewolf gang. Too bad its out of print, it is a definite book for the true Steven King fan.
